Renaissance Faire/Festival Theme
European Fairytale Influences
Semi-Formal (‘tis a wedding, after all)
What to Wear
Medieval, Renaissance Faire, cottagecore style dress or gown
Bodice + blouse + skirt(s)
Bodice + Chemise
Medieval, Renaissance Faire style doublet, vest, or tunic
RenFaire shirt + dress pants or trousers
Kilt
Surcoat or RenFaire jacket
Boots or flat shoes
Accessories - Leather or faux leather belts, pouches, skirt hikes, cloak or something to keep warm if the weather looks foul.
Where to Shop
Shop at your local Renaissance Festival, and Amazon has some decent outfits and accessories as well (be mindful to avoid cheap looking costumes)
What to Avoid
No Halloween Costumes - Please avoid cheap pre-packaged costumes from places like Spirit or Party City.
Extreme Fantasy - Please don’t wear elf ears, wings, prosthetics, masks, etc.
Barbarian or Viking - Viking outfits are a bit too casual for this wedding, unless you have a formal one!
Stiletto heels - The garden grounds are gravel, grass, and mulched paths, so wedges or flat shoes are going to serve you better! That said: if you’re most comfortable in heels, you do you!
Be mindful of shipping dates so you don’t receive your outfit after the wedding!
What if I don’t Want to Dress the Theme?
If you don’t want to match the theme, please wear something semi-formal.
